Rebel Talbert

Biography:
Rebel Talbert is the Senior Manager Fire & Natural Hazards for Forestry Corporation of NSW. In 2022 she was seconded to Forestry Corporation to assist with strategic fire management following the devastating 2019-2020 Black Summer Bushfires. Prior to joining Forestry Corporation on an ongoing basis, Ms Talbert was appointed as the NSW RFS’s first female Assistant Commissioner in November 2015 and worked for the Service for almost 20 years. Rebel holds tertiary and post-graduate qualifications in emergency management and public communication. In 2013 she was awarded an NSW RFS Commissioner’s Commendation for Service. Rebel is also a long-standing volunteer firefighter with Kenthurst Rural Fire Brigade.
