Vic Event: Forest and Rural Fire – What is happening on the other side of the world?
The Forestry Australia Victorian Branch would like to invite you to their upcoming event, Forest and Rural Fire – What is happening on the other side of the world? which will be held on Thursday the 5th of December.
About:
Forest and rural fires are having significant impacts on communities and environments around the world. Each year seems to bring more reports of destructive fires and ever expanding impact areas. What can we learn from the experiences of other countries and how does this relate to forest fire management in Australia?
Ruth Ryan AFSM FFA will reflect on recent experiences in Portugal, Saudi Arabia (does sand burn?) and the European Union.
Join us for this informative presentation, and to catch up with old and new friends at The Last Jar.
